This Privacy Policy explains how Mamie Collective Holdings Ltd ("we", "our") collects and uses personal information through this website, mamiecollective.com.

This policy covers the Mamie Collective pages of this website only. Each of our restaurants operates its own web presence under its own privacy policy - please refer to those for booking, dining and venue-specific information. In particular, the Adelia website at adeliarestaurant.com is covered by Adelia's own Privacy Policy.

In a nutshell. We collect very little. We do not set cookies. The only list we keep is the Adelia opening notification list you can join through the "Notify me" form - we only email you if you have asked us to. We do not sell or share your data for marketing. When you email us, we read the email and reply.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Mamie Collective Holdings Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17120219, with its registered office at 4th Floor Elsley Court, 20-22 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 8BE.

We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about this policy at hello@mamiecollective.com.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (we are not required to under Article 37 UK GDPR), but the team that handles privacy queries can be reached at the address above.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need. Specifically:

2.1 Information you give us

When you email us via the addresses listed on this website (hello@, press@, talents@), we receive the content of your email and any information you choose to include in it - typically your name, your email address, and the reason you got in touch.

We collect this information directly from you. We do not buy or enrich personal data from third-party sources.

We ask that you do not send us special category data (such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, or religious beliefs) by email. If you do, we will process it only to the extent necessary to handle your enquiry and will delete it as soon as practicable.

2.2 Recruitment enquiries (talents@)

If you write to talents@mamiecollective.com with a CV or an expression of interest, we process your information so that we can consider you for a current or future role.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in recruiting for our restaurants. Where you have asked us to keep your CV for future opportunities, we rely on your consent.
We share your CV and contact details with the HR contact at the relevant operating company (each Mamie Collective restaurant is operated under its own company).
We delete unsuccessful candidate data within 6 months of the recruitment decision. If you have asked us to keep your details for future roles, we retain them for up to 24 months and then check whether you would like us to continue.
You can ask us to delete your CV at any point - see §8 (Your rights).

2.3 Notify-me signups

If you use the "Notify me" form (on the Adelia card on our home page), we collect your email address, the form you signed up from, and the time of signup. We use this to tell you when Adelia opens - nothing else.

Our lawful basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@mamiecollective.com and we will remove your address from the list.
Your address is delivered to our own inbox via Resend, our transactional email provider (see §5). The list itself is stored in Klaviyo, our email list provider (see §3 and §5), and every email we send contains an unsubscribe link.
We keep notify-me addresses until we have sent the opening announcement or you withdraw, whichever comes first, and in any case no longer than 24 months.

2.4 Technical operation

Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes basic request information needed to deliver the website - IP address, browser type, the page requested. This information is processed transiently to serve pages and is not used to profile visitors.

We do not collect: payment information, booking details, location data, device identifiers for advertising, or any special category data (other than as described in §2.1).

3. What we do not do

For clarity:

We do not use cookies on this website for any purpose. No cookie banner is therefore displayed and no consent is required under regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR).
The only email list we run from this website is the Adelia opening notification list described in §2.3 - you receive what you asked for and nothing else. We do not send general marketing email.
We do not take restaurant bookings on this website. Bookings happen on each restaurant's own site, under their own privacy policy.
We do not take payments on this website.
We do not provide wifi capture on this website.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone for marketing purposes.

We use Klaviyo to store the notification list described in §2.3 and to send those emails. We only email people who have explicitly opted in, and every email contains an unsubscribe link.

4. Why we use your information

We use the information you give us only for clearly defined purposes, each with a defined lawful basis under UK GDPR:

5. Who we share your information with

We share your information only with third-party service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, and only to the extent necessary. These are:

Vercel - hosting and content delivery (USA-based).
Resend - to process Notify-me signups and deliver the resulting notifications to our own inbox (USA-based).
Klaviyo - stores the opt-in notification list described in §2.3 and sends those emails (USA-based).
Sanity - the content management system in which our website content is authored (USA-based). Sanity stores website content (text and images) only; it does not process visitor personal data and is listed here for transparency about our infrastructure.
Google Workspace - our business email provider, used to receive emails you send us at the addresses on this website (USA-based).
Operating company HR - for recruitment enquiries received at talents@, with the recruiting Mamie Collective restaurant company (UK-based).

We may also disclose information where required to do so by law, regulation, or a competent authority.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not pass it to third parties for their marketing purposes.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK (principally in the United States). Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards published by each provider - specifically, each provider's UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable) under their published Data Processing Addendum. We monitor each provider's transfer mechanism and will update this policy if a provider's mechanism materially changes.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep emails and the information in them for as long as we have a legitimate reason to do so - typically up to three years after our last meaningful interaction with you. After that, we delete or anonymise the records.

Recruitment data is retained for the periods described at §2.2.

We may keep some information for longer if required by law - for example, financial records are typically retained for seven years from the end of the relevant accounting period.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erase it ("the right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances.
Restrict our processing in certain circumstances.
Object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interests.
Data portability in certain circumstances.
Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling on this website, so the related Article 22 rights are not engaged.

To exercise any of these rights, please email hello@mamiecollective.com. There is no fee. We will respond within one month of receiving enough information from you to act on the request - we may need to verify your identity first, in which case the one-month period runs from the date we have what we need. The period may be extended by up to two further months for complex or numerous requests, and we will tell you if that is the case.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

9. Children

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data through this site, please contact hello@mamiecollective.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time - for example if we add new services or change how we use information. When we make a significant change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. If a change materially affects how we process your personal information, we will notify you directly where we have a way to do so. Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
